Wotton House is an extremely popular country estate hotel which is frequently used as a wedding venue. The house was built in the 17th Century and has been extended regularly by former occupant into the large building that stands today. It is a fantastic location for weddings due to the picturesque Italian gardens in the grounds as well as having the River Tillingbourne flowing through it. Inside, the rooms are just as spectacular with lofty vaulted ceilings within the Old Library for the Wedding Ceremony and a dining room with views over the beautiful grounds. We regularly have guests stay at the White Horse who are wedding guests of weddings being held at Wotton House. We are an easy 3.5 mile drive from Wotton House and can be the perfect solution for guests who are not able to stay at the venue or would prefer something a bit closer to amenities.
The Hotel
Originally built for use as a coaching inn in the 1200’s The White Horse has been extended and refurbished multiple times in it’s life. The most recent refurbishment was one of the most ambitious yet with bedrooms and common areas all being updated and reappointed to match changing tastes but whilst always staying true to the history and character of the original building. The bedrooms have all been re-furnished with high quality, elegant furniture. We also have a selection of rooms to choose from depending on your requirements. For longer stays, we would recommend one of our larger suites which come with a separate living area. For those spending only one or two nights with us, one of our spacious standard rooms would be perfect. We are based in the heart of Dorking with easy access to much of what you could possibly need within walking distance from the hotel. However, you should find most of what you need within the hotel itself. Our aim is to make your stay with us a comfortable and stress-free one and we are here to help you with anything you may need, including arranging transport to and from Wotton House.

The Dozen uses fantastic local ingredients to prepare a wide variety of delicious dishes for the menu. We are proud to cater for as many dietary requirements as possible and always have a great selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes on the menu. We also make a great breakfast which may be required after attending a wedding! In addition to this, we have private dining rooms available which can also be used as meeting or conference rooms. All of our guests are also able to use the gym facilities at the nearby sports centre which is a five minute walk from the hotel.
